One thing I haven’t really done much of this year was family portraits but with my new lighting equipment. At a park. So imagine my excitement when Jolyn messaged me out of nowhere asking if I could take pictures of them.

The weather was pretty bad the entire day and it actually rained on us towards the very end. I’m just glad it was towards the very end and that my gear is still working fine…

My last trip to SA  involved a ~6 hour photo session for 7 ladies. This was probably my longest session for the year and I couldn’t have done it without my help for the day. Thanks to Kim, Joseph and Michael for helping me out!

Only posting some of the more discrete pictures from this day and one of some floor work because this has to be one fo my favorites from this year.

Now that I’m finally on vacation and have a break from my day job, it’s time to finally get caught up on processing pictures and blogging. Here are three more I worked on after the workshop:

The challenge now is to apply these techniques to the pictures that I take from now on. Should be interesting!

No other words to describe this workshop.

I discovered Manny Librodo during summer from… Joe McNally’s blog? If I recall correctly, the post described Manny as a photographer that we probably don’t know about but should be following. So I looked him up and my jaw dropped when I saw his pictures on his pbase.

I looked him up on Facebook and was shocked to see how many people are following him but yet I never heard of him. I then saw that he was coming to Dallas and I pretty much signed up for it right away with no hesitation. There was no way I could pass this up. I’ve been waiting for this past weekend to come for months and I’m glad it finally came.

These are the pics that I worked on during the 2nd day of the workshop and submitted to Manny before I left. Sucks that I had to leave early but I had to make the gruesome drive back to Houston already. Big thanks to Manny, John for picking up Eric and I from the hotel and a huge thank you to Gene Domingo for setting up this workshop!
